City Clerk
Among several duties, the City Clerk gives notice of meetings of the Council, keeps a journal of the proceedings of the Council, and is the custodian of all City records. Information regarding Citizen Advisory Boards may be found on the City Clerk web pages.

City Services

	Community Development Community Development seeks to ensure a better quality of life for all Citizens of the City of Jacksonville by providing opportunities for economic development, and offering community and educational programs.
	Communications & Community Affairs Communications Community Affairs manages activities for the Jacksonville Youth Council, Weed & Seed, Sturgeon City and Nonprofit events and seminars.
	G10TV , part of the Communications and Community Affairs Department, provides 24hr broadcast of City and County Governmental meetings, Special Events, and informational programs on Time Warner Cable.
	Engineering and Construction Engineering & Construction provides information, recommendations, and services to construct, preserve and improve the City's infrastructure. City staff offers technical assistance and oversight to ensure public improvements are cost-effective and consistent with City specifications.
	Finance provides cash and asset management, accounts payable and purchasing, customer billing and collections, contract review and grant monitoring, and budgeting services to the City, and is responsible for preparing and monitoring the annual operating budget and Capital Improvement Program.
	Facilities Maintenance Facilities Maintenance provides Citizens, employees and visitors of the City of Jacksonville with a variety of maintenance services for buildings and other CIty Owned facilities.
	Fire Department The Jacksonville Fire Department Provides nationally accredited customer service through education, prevention, readiness, and response to threats of the lives and property of area Citizens.
	Human Resources Provides services for employment with the City of Jacksonville and Personnel services to City employees.
	Information Technology Services The Information Technology Department provides City-wide support for all computer systems, GIS systems, telephone systems, security systems and fax machines. The department is responsible for analyzing and implementing the electronic needs of all City departments.
	Recreation & Parks Helping to make Jacksonville the best place to live, work, and visit. Recreation & Parks has many camps, programs, events and facilities for Citizens and visitors to enjoy.
	Planning and Zoning The Planning and Zoning Division works diligently to develop a road map that has broad community support with a clear direction for the City growth. Citizen Advisory Group, neighborhood planning, educational and community programs and services are available online.
	Police Department A nationally accredited law enforcement agency, serving the City, proudly protecting Citizens. Educational and community programs, community alerts, online crime reporting and contact information is available.
	Sanitation The City's Sanitation Department proudly performs assigned duties for residential and commercial properties. Service, recycling information, and holiday schedules are available online.
	Stormwater Stormwater contacts, permits and educational materials providing important environmental information for Citizens and Business owners. Educational materials for environmental awareness is available.
	Streets The City Streets Division maintains City-owned streets, sidewalks and related infrastructure, allowing for safe travel.
	Transportation Jacksonville Transit providing Schedules and Routes throughout the City. Jacksonville Metropolitan Planning Organization, planning and building a sustainable way to navigate throughout the area. Links to area and statwide transportation resources and projects.
	Utilities Maintenance The Division proudly maintains and repairs over 200 miles of water and sewer lines throughout the City of Jacksonville. Contact information for the City's Utilities Maintenance Division is available online.
	Waste Water The City of Jacksonville's Water Treatment Facility works to dispose of wastewater in an environmentally safe manner. Facility tours are provided through Sturgeon City Institutes and Coastal Carolina Community College.
