 Board of Adjustment (Zoning)
The Board may grant variances from requirements of the Zoning Ordinance when there are practical difficulties or undue hardships involved in compliance. The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body that hears appeals from citizens concerning administrative decisions made by the Zoning Codes Officer.
The Board of Adjutments meets the fourth Wednesday of the month at 4:00 PM in the Johnson Boulevard Conference Room of Jacksonville City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street; however, they meet only when there is business to be conducted. Qualifications for Appointment:
Four (4) members shall reside within the City limits and one (1) member shall be a resident of the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). Members must be registered to vote within Onslow County, except for active duty military personnel.
