No. Open burning is not allowed inside the city limits except for special situations requiring a permit.

Call 910 938-1781. You will receive a response by fax or mail with a vendor application form.

The City does not operate the Court system. Please contact the Court Clerk's Office at 910 455-4458.

I want to complain about my Cable Bill. Who do I talk to?


The City does not regulate the charges made by cable franchises. The City does grant a franchise for operation in the City to Time Warner Cable. You may reach Time Warner Cable by calling 910 353-3500.

The City’s population as of the last Census, April 2000 is 67,715.

Who do I call about getting my water hooked up?


To inquire about water hook-up please call the City's Public Utilities at 910 938-5248. The City Water and  Utilities billing division handles utility sign up, business licenses and other fees. For properties served by Onslow County call the Onslow County Water Department at 910 455-0722.

Whom do I call if my neighbor’s yard is full of trash and weeds and is very unsightly?


Call City Code Enforcement at 910 938-5210.

Why does a fire truck show up when I call for an ambulance?


The closest unit available is sent to provide emergency assistance until an ambulance arrives to transport the patient to the hospital.
