 Yard Waste
Yard waste within the City of Jacksonville is collected weekly on Wednesdays. Please check the City calendar for holiday collection times. Holiday schedules will be printed in "The Daily News" on the Sunday and Monday before the holiday, and on G10TV.

Yard waste includes grass, clippings and leaves. Please note that sod, dirt and land clearing debris is not collected by the City. Yardwaste Collection Guidelines:
- Separate yard waste and household garbage into different containers
- Place construction & building materials separate from yard waste
- Place grass, leaves, clippings in 20-32 gallon containers or in paper bags (Do Not Use plastic) weight limit per container - 50 lbs
- Volume should not exceed 128 cubic Ft (4’W x 4’H x 8’L) For large removal assistance call 938-5338
- Limbs should be less than 4’ in length and logs no bigger than 2’ in diameter and 4’ Length
- Place yard waste less than 6’ from curb and more than 3’ from other objects and electric boxes & poles
- Do Not Use City issued 96 gallon container for yard waste
Yard waste piles such as limbs and branches that are in excess of one cord (4'x4'x8') or 128 cubic feet may be subject to a collection fee. Visit the Bulk Item page contact Sanitation at 938-5338 for assitance.
