Inmate Labor Classification

Inmates classified by Division of Prisons for labor with the City of Jacksonville, N.C. will not be serving sentences for murder, crimes of a sexual nature, or voluntary manslaughter.

Supervision

The City of Jacksonville, N.C., Streets Division inmate supervisors have received the Department of Correction’s Inmate Supervision Training and are recertified annually

**NO INMATE WILL BE ALLOWED TO WORK IN AN AREA THAT IS NOT SUPERVISED BY A CUSTODIAL AGENT**

Work Station Duties

Workstations will be any property owned or leased by the City of Jacksonville, N.C. Duties will include, but are not limited to: janitorial, grounds/building maintenance, cleaning, park/recreation area maintenance, public works projects, roadside cleaning, recycling projects, and other Government Agency projects
