CREATE Program

The C.R.E.A.T.E. (Community Revitalization Effort Assisted by Technical Education) program is a partnership between Coastal Carolina Comunity College and the City of Jacksonville to provide construction education opportunities to college students resulting in an affordable housing product for the community. In this program, the City provides land and construction materials and the College provides couse study work and labor. The trade students benefit by achieving "hands-on" training experience in the construction of a home. Once completed, this home is sold to a qualified low to moderate income family.
