The City of Jacksonville's Community Development Division has completed the 2009-2014 Five Year Consolidated Plan and 2009-2010 Annual Action Plan. These plans describes the community needs and priorities for use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
2011-2012 Annual Action Plan
The Community Development Division has completed ITS Annual Action Plan for FY 2011-2012. The Annual Action Plan outlines the City's use of its annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds. It is estimated that in FY 2011-2012 a total of $624,795 will be available for programming to carryout eligible activities. In addition, $761,948 in prior year funding is also available for a total of $1,386,743 to be used for Acquisition, Clearance and Demolition, Non-Profit Funding, Residential Rehabilitation, Rental Rehabilitation, Affordable Housing Infrastructure, Program Administration and Project Delivery. In addition, the Community Development Division requested $1,865,000 in a Section 108 Loan Guarantee to carry out acquisition, relocation, and demolition as needed to prepare the Downtown Target Area for redeveloment.
PUBLIC NOTICE - Neighboorhood Revitalization Strategy Area
The Community Development Division is seeking citizen comment on a proposed Substantial Amendment to the Annual Action Plan for FY 2011-2012. The purpose of the amendment is to seek a Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area (NRSA) designation for the Downtown Target Area. This area is bounded by Court Street, Newberry Street, Ford Street and Poplar Street. Written comments will be accepted October 20, 2011 through November 4, 2011 at the Community Development Division, City Hall, 815 New Bridge Street. Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (Caper)
The CAPER is a summary report that the Community Development Division submits to HUD describing the activites of the City's housing and community development progrrams. The primary purpose of the report is to provide citizens with information on how the City used its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
