Small Business Initiative

The Small Business Initiative is a program that offers low interest loans business loans to qualified small businesses that create jobs for low and moderate income persons. Funds may be used for a variety of purposes such as exterior and interior renovations, promotion and advertising, equipment, security systesm, lease and utility payments and site improvements.

THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED

ELIGIBILITY REQUIRMENTS

Business must have been in existence for at least one (1) year or must demonstrate prior relevant skills and experience to successfully operate the business; or

Must provide evidence of completion or enrollment in Coastal Carolina Community Colelge's R.E.A.L. Program; or

Equivalet business seminars as approved by CCCC.

Business must be owned and operated by low to moderate income persons; or

Located within low to moderate income areas; or

Primarily employ low to moderate income persons; and

Only business with five (5) or fewer full-time equivalent employees; and

Satisfactory credit and ability to repay loan; however, must have one turn down letter from a private lender.
