Parks

Come and enjoy any number of the beautiful parks that are located in the City of Jacksonville.  Our parks feature many different amenities such as playgrounds, picnic areas, grills, basketball courts, public restrooms, lit shelter areas and above all else, nature at its finest.  For information on which parks have areas for rent, fees, and/or making reservations for one of our shelters, stages or gazebos, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

305 Audubon Drive, Jacksonville NC 28546

Features: Park features a scenic nature trail and playground equipment. The park is not available for rental and is open for the public to use. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: On Gum Branch Rd. heading away from Richlands, make a left onto Onsville Dr. Then make a left onto Audobon Dr. Go all the way to the end of the street and the park will be right in front of you.

Features: This park is located by the Main Branch of the Public Library and features playground equipment, charcoal grills, and 4 tennis courts. The shelter holds approximately 40 people. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: On Gum Branch Road going toward Richlands, make a left onto Doris Avenue. Continue for less than .25 miles and make a left onto Plaza Dr. At the stop sign, make a right onto Estate Dr. Continue on and the park will be on your right.

Features: This shelter is surrounded by many amenities, such as the outdoor basketball courts, playground equipment, charcoal grills, restrooms,and a large multipurpose field that can be used for Football, Soccer, Softball and Baseball. This shelter holds approximately 50 people. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: On Highway 17 going towards MCAS New River, make a left onto Sybil St. and a right onto Dudley St. At the stop sign, make a left onto Georgetown Rd. The shelter and field will be on your right.

Features: This shelter is located behind the Recreation Center, next to ball fields and the skateboard park. Restrooms located nearby. This shelter holds approximately 96 people. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: From Western Blvd, turn onto Gateway N.. Go straight through the stop sign and into the parking lot. The Shelter is located behind the complex.

Restrooms located nearby. This shelter holds approximately 50 people. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: On Highway 17 Going towards MCAS New River, Make a left onto Murrill Circle. Murrill Circle then becomes Court Street. After about .5 miles, veer right onto Kerr Street. The shelter will be on you left.

Features: This shelter is surrounded by many amenities, such as the outdoor basketball courts, playground equipment, charcoal grills, and a large Softball/Baseball field. Restrooms located nearby. This shelter holds approximately 16 people. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: On Highway 17 Going towards MCAS New River, Make a left onto Murrill Circle. Murrill Circle then becomes Court Street. After about .5 miles, veer right onto Kerr Street. The shelter will be on you right.

Features: Shelter I is near the Ball Fields, Fitness/Nature Trail, Disc Golf Course, Boat Access, and Restrooms. This shelter holds approximately 66 people. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: On Highway 24 E going towards Camp Lejeune, turn left at the Blockbuster video store onto Corbin Road. Go .25 miles and the shelter will be on the right.

Features: Shelter II is located next to the playground equipment and has restrooms nearby. This shelter holds approximately 84 people. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: On Highway 24 E going towards Camp Lejeune, turn left at the Blockbuster video store onto Corbin Road. Go .25 miles and the shelter will be on the left.

Features: The shelter is surrounded by charcoal grills, playground equipment, an outdoor basketball court, and two baseball/softball fields. Restrooms are located nearby. This shelter holds approximately 50 people. For additional information, please contact the Administrative office at 910 938-5312.

Directions: On Highway 17 going towards MCAS New River, make a right into the first parking lot after Queen Rd and the last one before the bridge. The shelter will be on your left.
