Transit Development Plan
A Transit System Development Plan has recently been completed for Jacksonville Transit that recommends several short-term operational changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the system over the next five years. Downtown Jacksonville, NCA key recommendation includes an additional route to improve service coverage for the Sandy Run and Georgetown neighborhoods in addition to downtown Jacksonville and the newly formed commercial area around Yopp Road. The plan also recommends adjusting the hours of service to better accommodate the work schedules of our regular riders. For more info on the plan, contact jumpo@ci.jacksonville.nc.us.
