Curbside Yard Waste

The Sanitation Division collects yard waste once-a-week on Wednesdays, unless we have a holiday schedule. Holiday schedules will be printed in "The Daily News" on the Sunday and Monday before the holiday, and on Cable Channel 10 (G-10). In the event of a holiday, please check any of these resources or click on "holiday schedule ".

Yard waste materials include grass clippings, leaves, hedge trimmings, and tree limbs and branches.

All yard waste must be placed at the curb for collection; loose yard debris such as grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, and small trimmings must be contained in any of the following types of containers: 32-gallon trash cans with proper handles, medium size boxes, or paper compost bags. We cannot accept yard waste in plastic lawn bags.

Yard waste piles such as limbs and branches that are in excess of one cord (4'x4'x8') or 128 cubic feet may be subject to a monetary charges in order to be collected. See our bulk item collection or contact the Sanitation Division for more details.

Sod, dirt and land clearing debris will not be collected by city crews.
