Teacher Workday Programs

Holiday FunKeep your child safe with the Teacher Workday Programs, that provides quality childcare that will enrich and enhance their school age years.  For the 2011-2012 school year, the Jacksonville Recreation and Parks Department will be offering Teacher Workday Programs throughout the city.  Each location will involve snack time, group activities, arts & crafts, lunch time, cultural activities and much more. Each location has qualified and experienced staff members whom have 1st Aid & CPR certification and approved background checks.  Staff to student ratio is 1:16.

Programs include Day Programs AND Day Trips.

Teacher Workday Day Programs

Teacher Workday Day Programs are held at Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center. Day programs will be themed with the coordinating holiday. Parents must provide a non-perishable lunch and/or snacks. Cost vary for each depending on the length of the program.

Teacher Workday Trips

Through our Teacher Workday Program, we also offer Field Trips!! Field Trips will be on various teacher workdays throughout the school year to different exciting locations. All programs will be from 7:30-5:30 PM for ages 6-12 and the cost is $10.00. All trips start and end at Northwoods Recreation Center, 621 Henderson Drive. Parents must provide a non-perishable lunch and/or snacks. (Trips are subject to change depending on venue circumstances.)

December 20th - Roller Skating

January 23rd - Monkey Joes

February 20th - Aquarium

April 11th- Tryon Palace

April 13th - Battleship
